Our history with open source API tools goes back in time well before Runscope existed. I created the .NET HTTP Client RestSharp, and Runscope CTO Frank Stratton was a co-creator of flask-restful, a Python-based API framework.  Since starting the company, we've taken an active role in supporting open source community projects that help make APIs easier to use for everyone.

Today we're extending our support for the community by offering free tools to API-focused open source project creators and maintainers.

If you've significantly participated in an HTTP API-focused open source project, we'd like to offer you a free Runscope Community account, equivalent to our Starter plan (normally $29/month).

Here are the requirements to qualify:

  • Active maintainer or contributor to an HTTP client library, API framework or API-specific client library.
  • Project must have an OSI-approved license.
  • Employees of commercial API providers, see note below.

To claim your free account, email us with information about your project

Are you an API provider?

For representatives of commercial products or services with an API, we have a separate API Provider Premier Partner program currently being piloted. Please contact us if you are interested in participating.
